Freeman aggregates 31 distinct exit polls released after April 29, 2026 6:30 PM IST: Axis My India (NDTV/India Today), Today's Chanakya (News24), CVoter (India TV/ABP/Times Now), Matrize (Zee), JVC (Republic), P-MARQ (Times Now), Peoples Pulse, Peoples Insight, Vote Vibe (CNN-News18), Praja Poll, Poll Diary, Lok Poll, Junior Vikatan, Janmat Polls, Chanakya Strategies, IANS-Matrize, and others. Each pollster is reliability-weighted against 2021 actuals.

Methodology

Freeman v3.7 uses Bayesian aggregation with: (1) pollster family de-duplication so CVoter/Times Now-CVoter/India Today-CVoter count as one data point; (2) house-effect correction calibrated to 2021 actuals; (3) recency-weighted aggregation with exponential decay; (4) independent intel layer with structural priors anchored in 2024 Lok Sabha and last assembly results; (5) 7-step cause-effect chain mapping each signal through mechanism → demographic → seat math → procedural → net offset → credibility; (6) 8,000-run Monte Carlo for majority probability; (7) runtime calibration without code changes via freeman-calibration.json.

Counting Day Schedule — May 4, 2026

Counting begins 8:00 AM IST. Initial trends within 30 minutes. Most state results declared by 6:00 PM IST. Final declarations by 10:00 PM IST. Freeman dashboard auto-switches to LIVE_RESULTS phase and ingests data from results.eci.gov.in every 30 seconds, then publishes the Freeman vs Pollster Showdown scorecard with Avg Error Per Alliance.
